not so perfect

Bronze, 2025

This sculpture was born from personal reflection on the role of women in today’s high-pressure world.

As a mother of three and a woman with an academic and professional background, I know firsthand the mental, emotional, and physical juggling act women face — expected to be flawless in every role: partner, mother, professional.

The figures I sculpt are not idealized. They are heavy, asymmetrical, imperfect — and powerful. They carry the quiet strength of women who endure, adapt, and rise again.

The yoga poses they hold are metaphors for the balance women maintain each day. Pushed to their limits, they don’t fall — they realign, breathe, and continue.

Not So Perfect is a tribute to this resilience. A reminder that strength often lives in our imperfections, and that grace can exist even in imbalance.
